Dariag Independent guides to hiring across borders

Privacy policy

Effective 2026-10-08.

1. Who is responsible

This website, Dariag (dariag.com), is operated by Hiroyasu Nagata, an individual based in Japan ("we", "us"). We are responsible for handling the personal information described in this policy.

Contact for privacy questions, requests and complaints: contact@dariag.com. Our postal address is provided without delay on request to this address.

2. What we collect today

  • No accounts, forms or analytics. The site has no user accounts and no forms. We do not use analytics, advertising or social-media trackers, and we set no cookies of our own.
  • Security cookies set by our hosting provider. The site is hosted and delivered by Cloudflare, Inc. Depending on the security features in use, Cloudflare may set strictly necessary cookies on your browser to protect the site from automated or malicious traffic. Examples are __cf_bm, which expires after 30 minutes of inactivity, and cf_clearance, which records that a security challenge was passed. Cloudflare states that these cookies do not correspond to a user ID. We do not use them to identify you.
  • Technical data processed by our hosting provider. To deliver and protect the site, Cloudflare processes technical data such as your IP address, browser and device type, and the pages you request, as described in Cloudflare's own privacy policy.
  • Email you send us. If you write to contact@dariag.com, we receive your email address, your message and anything you attach. Email for this domain is hosted by our email provider, GMO Internet, Inc. (Onamae.com mail service). It receives messages to this address on its mail servers and forwards them to a private mailbox we control on the same service.

3. Purposes of use

  • To deliver, secure and maintain the website (technical data and security cookies).
  • To read and reply to your messages, and to keep a record of our correspondence (email).

We do not use personal information for any other purpose without telling you first, unless the law permits it. If the EU or UK GDPR applies to our handling of your information, we rely on our legitimate interests in operating a secure website and in answering the messages we receive.

4. Sharing and service providers

We do not sell or rent personal information. We do not provide it to third parties except:

  • to service providers that handle it on our behalf: Cloudflare, Inc. (website hosting and delivery) and GMO Internet, Inc. (email hosting and forwarding);
  • where the law requires or permits it.

5. Handling outside Japan

We are based in Japan. Cloudflare, Inc. is based in the United States and operates a global network, so technical data and security cookies may be processed in the United States and other countries. Each country has its own rules on personal information. For the United States, these include federal and state laws rather than a single comprehensive national privacy law. GMO Internet, Inc. is based in Japan. For information about each provider's own safeguards, see its privacy policy.

6. Security measures

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information, including:

  • Organisation and rules. The operator is responsible for personal information and handles it only for the purposes above.
  • Access control. The mailbox is protected by a password, and only the operator can access it.
  • Technical measures. The website is served only over encrypted connections (HTTPS). The site does not collect form or account data.
  • Providers. We use established hosting and email providers.
  • Awareness of foreign regimes. We are aware of the countries where our providers handle data (section 5).

Some details are not published because publishing them could weaken security. We can give more information on request.

7. Retention

We keep email correspondence only for as long as we need it to deal with your message, any follow-up, and our records, and then delete it. Our providers keep technical logs under their own retention practices.

8. Your requests and rights

You can ask us to:

  • tell you the purposes for which we use your information, or disclose what personal information we hold about you;
  • correct, add to or delete it;
  • stop using it or stop providing it to others, where the law allows.

Depending on where you live, you may also have rights under laws such as Japan's Act on the Protection of Personal Information, the EU/UK GDPR, or US state privacy laws, including the right to complain to a data-protection authority.

How to make a request: email contact@dariag.com with your request and the email address you used to contact us. We may ask you to confirm your identity. We do not charge a fee for these requests. We will respond without undue delay and within any time limit the applicable law sets.

9. Future changes: analytics and affiliate links

We plan to measure which pages are useful and, in future, to include affiliate links (see our affiliate disclosure).

  • Before we introduce any analytics, our own cookies or similar technologies, we will update this policy to describe them, and we will ask for consent where the law requires it.
  • When you follow a link to another company's website, that company's privacy policy applies to what happens there, including any tracking it uses.

10. Children

The site is intended for business readers and is not directed at children.

11. Changes to this policy

We will post any change on this page with a new effective date.
